I have no idea how this happened but I get no previews now in the thumbnails of my video files. I downloaded the latest windows vista codec package, but it didn't do anything. And the box in the organized folder is unchecked where it says to only show icons and not the preview. I am at a loss here.
Are they FLV files?
>>1886Nope, they are .avi, and just a few days ago I could see the preview on them.
Right click, go to properties, and check what is the default program that the files run in.
>>1894The default is vlc player, I clicked to change it to windows media player to see what happens and the icons just change to this...still no preview.
>>1892Did you install the "Ultimate vista codec package"?I know after I installed a few codec packs, files would randomly show up without a thumbnail. If all files are like this, do note that Vista has an option where you can turn off thumbnail previews for better performance.
>>1898I only installed one vista codec package AFTER I wasn't getting any previews anymore, didn't do anything, and I uninstalled it. I can't understand what I did for my system to do this now, I've tried setting the folder layout to default too.
>>1902Nevermind, I tried Klite and the thumbnail previews are back now, although differen than before, it like uses the picture from the first couple of frames, and before most of my videos were not previewed with the beginning titles, but whatever.
