I thought the majority of these were horrible. Punny in the worst sense possible, like the translator team consisted of Ultros, Carlos, and Punsy McHale. I know older gens had really obvious names (Jynx, Onix, Drowzee), but they just didn't feel as bad as, say SAWK, THROH, GURDURR, TIMBURR, BOLDORE, SCRAGGY, SCRAFTY....jesus the last 2 sound like rejected Scooby-Doo characters.

As far as getting 5 stars actually goes, I always seem to fall just short of the goal. I've filled so many pokedexs and beaten so many Elite 4 members that it's become common place for me to do this before I consider the game beaten. But man, all that side bullshit.

I have gotten so close on numerous times. I could probably do it if I really tried, but that is a week long effort that can be spoiled by the smallest of accidental fuck ups during a battle.

Well it depends.

Are you doing cart based wifi fights or using Pokemon Online?

Because if you're getting into EV training, prepare to have headaches and math be the order of the day.

You're gonna have to learn terms such as Special/Physical Sweeper, Wall, SubPunch, and many more.

Really do what I do to satisfy a battling itch, download Pokemon Online, experiment like crazy, find some favorite set ups, and just keep hammering at it for laughs.

Primary things to concern yourself with
- Stay Mindful of the Special/Physical attack split, There's an attack and special attack stat for a reason. Don't load up say an Alakazam with Physical attacks.

- Keep you head on you when it comes to type coverage, remember you can be unconventional about defending yourself, don't just think you need a ground type to take out Electrics for example.

- Weather hates you. Get around it, or toss down some of your own.

- Rapid Spin is your friend when it comes to the multitude of stackable entry hazards

- Get ready to do a lot of reading on Bulbapedia and sites like that on what Items do what and berries, and the nuances of certain abilities.

Prepare to be disappointed. From what I hear they've been cutting time out of the episodes for more commercials. So the Opening has been cut back drastically, there's no credits at the end, they've been removing who's that Pokemon and I guess they're beginning to pull parts of the episodes out that they deem unimportant to the storyline. Kind of like what they did to the last movie they had.

Also, I guess they're starting to do this for all shows? I hear they shortened the opening on Ed, Edd, and Eddy as well and have been taking parts out of episodes.
