Fall of the Eleventh? Sounds like the end of Matt Smith, no?

With all the faults the latest episodes had, I cannot fault their look. Ever since 11 the series has been eye-candy: great use of colour, designs and even camera shots.

rather than just block out bits i'm going to spoiler my entire post the second i saw the tessalector aprt of me thought "oh boy a shapeshifting robot, i sure hope this isn't some kind of get out of death free card. then i groaned when it showed up again because i could guess what was coming. though tbqh i was completely thrown off when he left the bar.

i was actually worried the daleks would end up being the badguys /again/ since they haven't shown up this season. it was pretty cool how they did use them though.

As much as I liked River, Amy, and Rory, I have to say I'm pretty glad we're most likely done with them. I think they're happy he's alive, but I'm hoping Amy understands that they have to "pretend" he's dead, and won't go chasing after him. I'm hoping for a new companion to start off what is probably Eleven's last season.

I think, after we've mostly had a break from them in this series with only a few "minor villain" roles (not counting Victory of the Daleks, of course), I'd like another Dalek-centric episode next season. Just one! I mean, the cybermen came back for this season in a pretty neato way (old school cybermen!) I dunno, the RTD years did way overuse them, but I don't think Moffat's run is risking that yet.

The first question. The question that started this whole mess. The question The Fourth Doctor never actually answered, but just simply left be:
"Do I have the right?"
That question allowed the Daleks to survive, and his presence altered Davros of the existence of the Timelords, which began their plotting against them, which led to the last great Time War, which pitted two powerful races against each other, only to sear them both away from all existence. Mostly.

At the fall of the Eleventh, that question will be asked once more, and the subjects of the Silence, who treat the Doctor like a God, will see their Lord fall, and their faith shattered, as his last words answer the question:

"Yes."

The Master said that the Valeyard was somewhere between the 12th and his final regenerations. A sort of impossibility at the time, but now? Now it's could well be.

Once again one of my favorite blog sites has made some great points on Doctor Who.

>She’s “married” to a man who has never really demonstrated any romantic feelings for her outside of the mildest of flirtations (and the wedding itself consisted of him barking orders at her to “do as she’s told” after yelling at her that she embarrassed him) and she’s fine with that? Amy’s fine with that? That doesn’t ring true on an emotional level at all.

The website makes a good point and may explain why I feel less satisfied with this season's finale compared the last season's. I can buy a robot being piloted by tiny men that can transform into any human being alive, or skulls devouring a man to death, but I just find it hard to believe that a couple would be okay with losing their child and rarely giving it a second thought afterward. I think this season's storyline was too ambitious for Steve Moffat. He wanted to tell a story with more risks at stake than previous Doctor Who stories, but didn't want to focus on the repercussions that comes with it. Perhaps it's due to the limitation of Doctor Who being a children's show that it couldn't be mature at times when it needed to be. I'm also bothered by the overwhelming love for the Doctor by people who are ultimately screwed because of him; too reminiscent of Russel T Daves' Doctor Who.

There were some great, fun episodes this season, but the story arc for this season was a step down from last season's and hindered the overall enjoyment factor of it. With the Doctor going into urban legend mode next season, I hope the stories will greatly improve because of it.

Well her just having an inkling of remembering causes her to have a psychic knockout blast. So maybe kidnapped by Unit or something that thinks she has abilities an can be a weapon then her subconscious goes into overdrive protection and the whole place turns into a mini Zone and unknown to the doctor he has to stop what is causing the massive energy spikes and telekinetic damage that threaten to bring the whole place down around their heads.

Last part being wishful thinking

Facility allows him to bleed off the excess energy and allows Donna to remember without killing her and we get Donna back aboard for a bit.

Man, in comparison to the end of season 3, I fucking love Journey's End. Okay yeah a little cheesy but as mentioned before CATHERINE TATE WAS AMAZING. her impression of David Tennant's doctor was almost disgustingly brilliant. She hit the high notes his voice shifted to and everything.

meanwhile season 3 had jesus doctor that COMPLETELY overshadowed how fucking great John Simms is as the master. I mean, I have a high tolerance for bullshit in a show like Doctor Who i like davies i kinda have to but that was just a whole new level of mind numbing stupid.

I'll be honest, I would stab a man in the lung to get an Eleven/Donna season. They would play SO WELL off of each other. Eleven's all about doing the completely impossible, if anyone can find a way past Donna burning up, it's him.

As for Journey's End, yeah it was cheesy, but it was the GOOD kind of cheesy. The kind where you cheer because OH GOSH LOOK AT ALL THE DOCTOR'S COMPANIONS ALL COMING TOGETHER! FIGHTING AGAINST HIS GREATEST FOE! It was like that Power Rangers episode, "Once a Ranger".

We can trade information. I'm curious about the books. I read two but I'm not sure if I would spend my money on more since they're such quick reads.

So far, I've only listened to what I could get my hands on but I enjoyed all of it. First I did Shada, which is good but a bit jarring if you've read Dirk Gently. McGann would probably be the easiest Doctor to justify bringing back- He doesn't have to look like he did on the show, no matter how long ago that was, because we never saw him die. And he spent a good portion of his life fighting in a Time War that could easily handwave away any paradoxes.
