Alright, I am probably opening up a can of worms here, but whatever. TGWTG Thread.

Phelous is an absolute riot. I'm surprised I never see him mentioned while folks like Linkara and Spoony get more attention. Every word that comes out of this man's mouth is just dripping with sarcasm and sense of loathing. The horror movies he covers are absolutely without a doubt some of the worst shlock you'll see.

GODDAMMIT LINKARA
You wanted to be annoying for this review, do you?
And anyways, isn't Nemesis the worse of the TNG movies?

You know, he often comes off as hamming it up, but he sounds legitimately angry at this movie. And I don't blame him. That movie was a fucking wreck.

This is better than his Battlefield: Earth review.
OH, MY SIDES
>> No. 31940

Yea I can totally see the anger and understand it. Because nothing gets me more riled than idiotic additions to a "real life story" I took a class a while back on "crime in cinema" and over half those films had been altered from the actual occurrences. Aside from the ones where they added courageous white lawyers that rode to the poor outcasts defense or added racial overtones that never existed to drive a plot of conspiracy. The most interesting one dealt with the death of the head of a gang on the west coast. They turned it from an actual prison hit by a rival gang into some strange honor killing by his own fellows. It was egregious enough that one of his oldest friends and former lieutenants put a hit on the director. Does anyone on TGWTG handle crime cinema? someone might have hit all the films I saw already.

Does she ever talk about the anime? I skipped 30 seconds ahead to get past the intro and then all these jokers I dont really care about started talking and I skipped more ahead and it didnt look like she was even going to review anything :/

Yes. She does a thorough and decent job of explaining why she likes FMA. TGWTG reviewers loooove their cameos/plotlines. Just keep skipping ahead.

I loved all of those cameos. I always found them funny, and at least this one doesn't feel forced.
And the review is fine, although it gives very much emphasis to Funimation's dub, something I can't identify or tell since I (as plenty of others non US people out there) am a subs people.

>>32006
You shouldn't avoid it because of that, just skip the first five minutes.
