Does the order you play story missions really change events in the game? I've just gotten to the point when I have multiple people to do missions from at once.

List of reasons why Saints Row 3 disappointed.

My brother and I saw Gat "dying" in the second fucking mission and figured that Loren was just a lying douche and that Gat was going to come back and shit would kick ass. I only saw a few trailers and saw the Manly As Fuck Stag Leader fighting zombies and assumed you played him in the Zombie Uprising sidemission. Alas.

Saints Row 3 was sorely lacking in the main story, the side missions, the feel of the city (93% and I still have to look at the map), the characters, pretty much everything except for the graphics and the steering.

The main story was short as fuck and while it still had some amazing moments (pretty much anytime music plays over the top (I NEED A HERO) it still lacked a cohesive plot and drive. SR2 had you build up and up to defeating a gang, and it felt satisfying. Loren dying to a giant ball dropping on him was anticlimactic at best.

The sidemissions weren't exactly varied. They did change up a few things with Tiger Escort and the S.E.R.C. but they weren't very useful or even that challenging. A few thousand dollars and a sprinkle of respect pales in comparison to spending $50k on any of the decent upgrades.

The city was just a mess. The layout was just city block after city block and lacked any memorable landmarks that actually gave you a sense of place. Driving along the highway to SR2, you always had a view of Ultor Tower, and that gave it a constantly reminder of what happened to your original base.

Pierce was boring and a corporate bitch, Shaundi was constantly pissed, Gat fucking died. Zimos had little explanation given at all, Kinzie was pretty much perfect and Oleg was a bro. You'll notice no one in this thread has mentioned Angel. He got completely shafted and wasn't even relevant except for Murderbrawl XXXI, and even then it was up to you to win the (incredibly easy) fight against him. No one had any development of character at all, everyone stays at the same level throughout the entire game.

Did ya forget about the regular monetary installments you upload to your bank account from your phone? The money from activities was helpful and if you really wanted money so badly you cold grind 'em as well as buying up all the territory. And as for respect I've got no problems thwere just from driving around doing crazy shit.

Sure the thing about the deaths was kinda lame but the game has been great fun so far, even just screwing about the city as I gradually improve my city and the gang, customising new rides, getting into massive firefights, its been great fun. I've just barely passed into the story after the ball was dropped and you gather the new blood.

I had a wierd glitch in my game.
I used my customised Kaneda to satisfy a collection mission because I was getting pissed off at the cops blowing up the ones I found before could make it back to the chop shop.
So after I did that it vanished from my garage and I had to find a new one but for some reason all of the Kaneda bikes in my game now have three bars just like the foot-pedal sticking out the sides in a horizontal layout.
At first I never even noticed them until I realized something seemed odd about the bike when I customised it to look like my old one.

Its not terrible or anything but it does seem wierd if you stare at it too long.

Well how else was frenchie supposed to die? He isn't any kind of serious physical threat on his own - even less so thanks to Gat making him a Cyclops - and the Syndicate would be a stable whole with him instead of a degrading and weakening enemy. The other games had corporate overlords or political bosses ruling over a stalemate of three separate gangs that want nothing more then to kill each other off, the Syndicate at first was a conglomerate of other gangs absorbed into a bigger one working together. The old ways wouldn't have worked against it.



Although I am still upset that they just killed Gat and he had a Funeral that we never saw. But I guess that's something that can be brought up and used when they use dex seeing as Saints Row is the big franchise of volition. They want to stretch and possibly plan it out.

With all this cloning stuff about I was surprised we didn't see an 'evil' clone of Gat. There's always SR4 for that I guess, afterall they never showed the Saints finding Gat's body, and you don't need one to hold a funeral... (Seriously though what are the saints meant to do in the next installment?)

I've had two crashes, once when I was trying to check the garage in Angel's gym, and another time when I was the passenger in a homie's car but dismissed him then it forced me to go back in the passenger seat and stuck.
Luckily because of the auto saves I didn't lose much from the first one or anything from the latter.

By the way I've completed all optional survival events except for one but now I''m not getting any more phonecalls about them, does that one involve STAG? And will it only appear/will I get the call only after they show up?

Are you supposed to get a cutscene when you first start doing missions for Kinzie and Angel like you do with Zimos? I think I might have accidently skipped thier cutscenes by doing the activities they introduce before I met them, while I didn't do any snatch or escort ones beforehand. Certainly feel like there should have been more missions to do for Angel, he was acting like the one I did do was some sort of final test in my training

This games great but, one wierd thing is though everyone makes comments that I think are about my character, but they talk about him like hes a chick, is that because I downloaded him from the website at the start of the game after making him with the demo inition station?

You can play both ending missions in one save but does it matter which one you actually choose the first time, like do you only get that outcome and playing the other mission is just to see what the other ending is like

Is it just me or not only was the game shorter, but also far less inside environments?

I mean, in the first game there was a huge mall, police department, jail, all types of stores, restaurants, and not to mention the different homes were all customizable.

Here, all the hideouts look identical and the customization are all for the outside.

The graphics look better, but everything felt sort of smaller.

If you do both endings, the combined ending leaves the statue destroyed but Shaundi and whoever can still be called up so idk.

I've enjoyed the game alot, just completed it 100% and am going to play another quick playthrough with a female character to get the remaining achievements/see what the other choices were like. But I have to say Zombie Gat is kind of a kick in the teeth, even though he's a hardcore super zombie its not the same as having him to fight beside
