So, this idea arose from a discussion on /v/ in which we were arguing about the overuse of the typical Tolkien setting in Western RPGs. Dwarves, elves, orcs, dragons and such. We began to try to think up unique races and creatures, and pretty soon the idea had transformed into trying to create an entirely original fantasy setting.

The proposition is that we collaborate to create this expansive fantasy world and, if we ever reach that stage, create a WRPG style game and/or mods set in this world.

Something I proposed is that, for the human cultures, we take elements from one culture and then transplant them to an unusual environment. So, for example, imagine somebody working with ancient Indian architectural principles living in and working with the resources of a temperate or cold European style region. The result would be a piece of architecture which is based in reality but also unusual and even unique. The same process could be used for every element of the fictional society, from clothing, to food, to weapons.

One society we thought up was a semi-Amazonian society. Because the females are genetically predisposed to producing more female than male children, securing the lives of the few males is vital to securing future generations. As such, males have a more passive role in the society, while females take on the roles of warriors and rulers. The females would spend their youth fighting and training, but as their usefulness on the battlefield wanes and their biological clock starts to tick, they have some children, supported by a network of females and some males.

That's just one society we thought up. There were several others.

As for creatures, livestock and animals, it was proposed that they also be entirely original, perhaps taking influence from less iconic prehistoric animals so that the end result is exotic and strange but also believable. It was even suggested that the original score could feature invented instruments, such as the following: experimental music instruments

So far we have a JLA-type group called The Vanguard, and a villainous counterpart in a group called O.M.E.N. I think the city setting we agreed upon was Victory City. I'll go into more detail about the stuff I know about in further posts, but this is where we should gather all of the information so that we have a place to post ideas/sketches that won't be as temporary as a thread on 4chan.

Nnnnnnnnot exactly. I'm one of those guys who, when he gets something to type up, tries to fix things up a little here and there if he can. I rewrote some of the dialogue, just for my own sake. Pages. Only two, and that was because they didn't work for me - again, me being a pedantic little turd. one was the very last page, which didn't "fit" (I was finishing my work at quarter past midnight, so it's equally possible that I was being lazy) and the other was of one of the murders that takes place in the story. I just... I wasn't expecting something like that. For some reason it just pressed a button I never want pressed again. I didn't want to do any work on that page, and luckily for me it was easily removed without damaging the overall narrative.

Yeah, I didn't figure that out until after I uploaded the damn thing. Still, here it is. Oh, and the weirdness of the pages can be attributed to the scanner. Whilst it was nice of them to scan their copy, it would've been nicer to have a copy that didn't look as though somebody'd wiped their arse with it.

Okay. Bit of an explaination required here. /co/ recently finished storytiming "Serenity", a Christian manga series about a girl named Serenity getting into trouble before cleaning herself up with the word of God. While nowhere near as offensive as the Chick tracts, it's still a poorly written and drawn series with flat characters and a character who is, for all intents and purposes, brainwashed into her school's prayer group.

Serenity is such an interesting trainwreck that there's been a ton of fanwork pouring out as the result. Writefaggotry, drawfaggotry...there's even now a TVTropes page for the manga. Someone suggested we collect all of the fanwork into a single thread on plus4chan, so that's what I'm doing here. If you haven't read Serenity yet, go check out /rs/ on 4chan - the recent volumes should be there, at least. It's worth it to understand why such a weird fandom has sprung up.

This is where the Wakfu Comics that haven't been scanned and translated yet do so. I said Tuesday was the date I'd post the comics, and that date still stands, but to apologize for my slow pace, have some Remington #2. It's in French, but I'll post a script to it soon. Enjoy!

Supposedly, the first time the basic idea for this project sprung up was in November 2009. Since then, it has fallen apart several times to the point that this is probably not actually a "third time."

The basic idea is to make a revision and sometimes complete rewrite of the events of Digimon Adventures and Digimon Adventure 02 to create a single unified narrative, as there are massive continuity problems and huge differences in style and theme between two series that have created a massive divide in the fan base.

For obvious reasons there should be no new protagonists and no new fan-made Digimon. As this is an English-based project, there will need to be proper localization so as to not randomly and inconsistently insert Japanese words or phrases.

Until a definitive staff is worked out, all ideas and contributions are welcome.

Over on 4chan's /co/, we have a 250+ post thread going about theoretical commissions we would have Zone do. Eventually, we got the idea that maybe the Anonymous posters of the chans could come up with enough money to actually commission Zone. How? I don't know. That's why I'm posting here.

The very first thing to do would be to come up with a character everyone is satisfied with. I know some things that Zone won't touch are: loli, guro, scat, futa, yaoi, and Zone-tan. I am personally suggesting we don't do anything with tentacles, since they're over-used. Since this originated on /co/, we would only go for /co/'s majority instead of trying to get every single person that contributes to agree on something. Of course, Zone would need to approve the character before we move on. At that time, we'd let him know what we are planning to do.

Next, we would need to have an accountability system. If we don't send the money directly to Zone and he'd let us know when we have enough, we would have to have a very trustworthy person hold the money until it's enough to send to Zone. This person would not let anyone back out once they send the money.

If I recall correctly, a full-bodied Zone flash costs around $600 dollars. If we had 6 richfags contribute $100, we would all go buy lottery tickets since we'd be swimming in luck. If 60 Anonymous fappers from 4chan's /co/ contributed, we'd be rather lucky. If we got 600 Anonymous posters from 4chan's /b/, /co/, /d/, /h/, 7chan, maybe 2ch, etc, throw up $1, we would still get to the goal. So what I'm saying is that we have to get more than 4chan's /co/ in on this and probably have an open contribution level (and maybe set a suggested contribution level at $10).

So what do you guys think? Is this viable? Any suggestions on doing something differently?
