There was no need to save anything, seeing how season 2 was pretty good on it's own (if you like comedy more than plot heavy episodes, that is).

But if you wanted some bad-ass action then you got your treat. This four part finale will be glorious. We still have episodes 25 and 26 ahead of us - about 30 minutes of action and 10 to wrap things up. I love how this four part finale is LONGER than any DC animated movie (like Justice League: Doom, which was only 76 minutes long) ever released.

This episode was certainly something.
I enjoyed every friggin' minute of it.

Also, funny thing. Once again I recognized the sample libraries used to make music. During certain scenes I clearly heard Cinematic Guitars by Sample Logic in this episode.

At the end of episode 9, when the gang is with Qilby after being pulled from Rushu's world, Yugo scrunches his eyes when the Justice Knights do their "Justice's been done!" victory pose, because he's still upset that Remington was left behind for being selfless for once. Personal retrospective on the season, subject to change after finale: The "Cool Fights Scenes" aspect of the show is stronger than ever, and the butt-awesome improvement in animation and character design (unlike season 1, pretty much all the one-shots are neat) means it comes off as positive overall. Massive pros don't necessary remove the existence of the cons, however: there's an odd increase in toilet humor (two pissing jokes? really?) and the seasonal conflicts seem...arbitrary? There's this whole "Sadlygrove's stupidity hurts others" subplot that lasts 21 episodes until he and Eva make up, but this was already addressed in the first season when he broke Eva's bow. He tempered his stupidity into functional badassery.

What is it that Yugo can do; like what powers does he have and their limits and so on? All I know is that he can make little portals.

If this question is serious:

Yugo is essentially the Portal Gun on two legs.

Other than portal making, he is capable of shooting wakfu lasers (which he makes by forcing a portal to form inside of another portal IIRC) and can do something weird in which he flies at superspeed inside a stream of portal after portal.

He can also see wakfu the way dragons can, a skill he picked up from Adamai in late season 1.

Vampyro owned him (if no for the tofu allergy, they'd be toast), he lost with Kriss on the boufbowl stadium, cannibals managed to kidnap him with little effort, he had to run the fuck away from Igole (no chances in direct combat), he even lost the final fight with Nox. His biggest victory was with a stone golem that had an obvious (to an Eliatrope) weak point that Yugo exploited deactivate it.
