Old thread here at 1021 posts >>334791

So what the hell happened to /jp/? There has always been a really shitty side to it like all *chan boards, but goddamn it's practically like /v/ nowadays outside of the latest scan/Type-Moon thread.

I don't think any meaningful number of people were mad over Cap's line. It's just dullards and dicks using it as an excuse to debate the importance of religion - not even in the context of a Marvel story, but in the modern world.

"get away from 4chan, troll" is getting a far too common comeback from people these days. it's nearly impossible to discuss anything on /co/ anymore because of that.

Most people don't know how to derail a troll these, apparently.

I mean, people see /k/ and see it as an easily trolled board, when it's farthest from the truth.

You just have to have stayed long enough to know when people are spouting bullshit, join into the bullshit, then bring out a true fact that is tangentially related to the main topic, do THAT a bunch of times, and viola!

You are now discussing the viability of germany's weapons industry in a thread that was originally badmouthing Steyr...

The only way /v/ would derail a troll is by dubs. Kind of the only negative thing to come out of moot removing dubs.

reeks of samefag./co/ traditionally don't spam retared reaction faces, so it's suspicious to when you see a thread with 90% of just that

I dont think I can deal with /co/ any more, just havent been enjoying lurking and this past week has just been awful. At least /m/ and /toy/ are still mostly okay. And im excited to see what the mobile 4chan is like I guess.

Even /tg/ is sometimes unbearable, but it's mainly because I don't follow any quest, nor play 40K. I still enjoy the /vg/ Diablo 3 general, strangely enough.

I'd say you're off-base. /co/ has a tradition of people joining together for a bit of silliness, even if it's just sharing in group astonishment, played-up for laughs. If it seems atypical of /co/, that's because it's the kind of thing classic /co/ was known for, whereas modern /co/ is known for being cranky and crap.

report doesn't work either. as a result porn spam is slowly getting all over the place as people notice they are currently untouchable.

>We've built what we think are the most popular extension additions directly into the site. To toggle them on and off, click "[Settings]" in the upper-right or bottom-right of the page. These features are: Quick reply, inline image expansion, post previews (for current thread only, we will make it global soon), backlinking (see who replied to a post), and enable a new drop-down style navigation.

Oh neat, most of the things I use. Too bad still no thread expansion and hiding, then I wouldn't even need an extension.
>> No. 356278

Yeah, I really wonder why. That's the primary reason I use extensions.

I also use thread favoriting, but not nearly as much.

4chan x updated again so right now the only problem I can find with the new coding is some quoting issues (quotes within quotes don't close properly) and that I can't hide threads

Why does this happens? I don't think I have posted anything deemed ban-worthy or have spammed anything?
>> No. 356440

ISP. Not IP. Internet service provider. I guess someone who used the same ISP as you spammed/trolled/whatever and evaded their bans so much that the entire ISP got banned. That's actually pretty damn impressive.

Well that sucks... while it's good to stop people evading bans, it also hurts those that do nothing wrong.

Do you think they'll ever lift the ban? Or am I forever doomed to be banned from posting on 4chan because a retarded monkey using the same ISP as I decided he'd ruin everyones fun...?
